NCC-DRC Chairman, Chief Obegolu, SAN writes Buhari, offers to resolve ASUU Strike Free of Charge
The Nigerian Chambers of Commerce Dispute Resolution Centre (NCC-DRC), has offered to settle the protracted industrial dispute between the Federal Government and Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU. In a letter titled ‘PROPOSAL TO PROVIDE DISPUTE RESOLUTION SERVICES AS A NEUTRAL PARTY IN THE ONGOING PROTRACTED INDUSTRIAL DISPUTE BETWEEN THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA AND ACADEMIC STAFF UNION OF UNIVERSITIES (ASUU)’, and signed by the Governing Council Chairman, Chief Emeka Obegolu, the centre noted that the service is ‘FREE OF CHARGE’ The letter reads in part “Nigerian Chambers of Commerce Dispute Resolution Centre (NCC-DRC) presents its compliments and refers to the above subject matter. “The
NACCIMA Adopts NCC DRC as ACCI Bags Award of Excellence
The Dispute Resolution Centre of Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) is now a national Centre for all Chamber movements in Nigeria. This development follows the signing of MoU between ACCI and NACCIMA. The first deputy president ACCI and Chairman, ACCI DRC, Chief Emeka Obegbolu signed on behalf of ACCI while the president, NACCIMA, Hajia Saratu Iya Aliyu signed for NACCIMA. Going by this MoU, the ACCI DRC is to now serve as a Dispute Resolution Centre for all Nigerian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. NCC DRC Set To Launch Its Mentorship Programme On Adr.
ACCI-DRC designed a Mentorship Program that enables experienced ADR Experts (mentors) to help young ADR practitioners (mentees) apply the theoretical knowledge gained during ADR training. The Centre will assign mentees to each mentor to understudy the mentor's activities for a period of six weeks. The Mentorship program is set to launch on Thursday, 27th May 2021 at the ACCI-DRC Secretariat. The Centre is assured that this program will go a long way to broaden the mentee's knowledge and sharpen their skills to become great Arbitrators, Mediators, or Tribunal Registrars via practical application of ADR mechanisms and the operations of the Centre.

Abuja Chamber of Commerce Dispute Resolution Centre (ACCI-DRC) today launched a mentorship programme on ADR to enable Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) enthusiasts (mentee) to apply the theoretical knowledge gained during ADR trainings practically to resolve disputes. Centre during the six weeks programme will assign mentees to mentors to understudy the mentor’s activities for such period.
