NCC-DRC HOLDS NEUTRALS’ TOWN HALL, UNVEILS SPECIALIZED SUB-PANELS

The Nigerian Chambers of Commerce Dispute Resolution Centre (NCC-DRC) held its Neutrals’ Town Hall Meeting on 22 January 2026 at the NCC-DRC Hearing Room, Abuja, bringing together members of its distinguished Panel of Neutrals for dialogue and institutional alignment.

Delivering the welcome address on behalf of the Chairman of NCC-DRC, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, SAN, the Registrar-General of NCC-DRC and General Counsel of ACCI, Hauwa Kaka Usman, emphasized the critical role of the Centre’s Neutrals in sustaining its credibility, integrity, and effectiveness.

The meeting highlighted NCC-DRC’s 2026 strategic priorities, including institutional strengthening, increased specialization, and enhanced stakeholder confidence in its ADR processes, as presented by Assistant Registrar-General Mr. Edim E. Edim.

A key feature was the introduction of the NCC-DRC Sub-Panels of Neutrals, designed to categorize members by qualifications, sector expertise, and experience to improve efficiency, transparency, and case allocation.

Dr. Agada Elachi, SAN, Council Member, commended the initiative and encouraged Neutrals to uphold professionalism, competence, and synergy with practitioners in the ADR community. The session concluded with an interactive discussion to address questions and outline action points for implementation.

The Town Hall underscores NCC-DRC’s commitment to structured specialization and world-class ADR services.
